Special report indoor skiing

Special report indoor skiing

Skiing in the mountain is a unique experience. The feeling of sliding on the snow and natural environment is the origin of ski industry and its potential growth. A passion that stimulated the development of solutions to escape from the sport temporality, and covered resorts seem to be the best solution. The ski resorts business model, based on the integration of tracks, residential development and services, was sent to the commercial centers area. Kuelpa (Peru), Turu Ba Ri (Costa rica), Cerro San Cristobal (Chile), Oruro (Bolivia), Quito (Ecuador), Medellin or Chicamocha (Colombia), Rio de Janeiro or Barroso (Brazil), Chapelco (Argentina).. In the city, in touristic areas or of course in ski resorts, we don't count anymore the cable transportation systems on the South American continent. A love story that owes a lot to Poma, a company that was born from a man' genius and determination: Jean Pomagalski. Poma recently celebrated its 80 years, and this is an outline of its saga.

After Buenos Aires in 2012 and San Carlos de Bariloche in 2014, INTI is having its third convention in that same city at the foot of the Andes, next to the lake Nahuel Huapi, for the 2016 version of that expected event. Many cable and mountain profesionals and experts, from South America and Europe, will be present again to exchange about cable transportation security and good practices. If the cable transportation operators were invited, the meeting richness will also be enhanced by the presence of ski lifts constructors representants - for ski resorts or urban application - and control organisms. Like in the former editions, many specialists will be there.
